About Artfully
Artfully is an encyclopedic reference to the world’s great art museums. Each profile explains a museum’s origins, collection, architecture, famous works and cultural significance.
What we cover
Every museum profile follows the same seven-part structure: an overview, history and founding, the collection and its strengths, the building and architecture, notable works, cultural significance, and a short set of frequently asked questions. Alongside each article we publish a concise “museum label” card with the location, founding year, type, collection focus, notable works and architect.
How we write
Content is researched from widely available art-historical references and written in a neutral, factual tone. We describe museums and their collections for general reference only; Artfully does not publish ticket prices, booking advice, or promotional tips.
Who we are
Artfully is produced by the Artfully Editorial, a small editorial desk focused on museum and art travel reference writing.
